U.S. Goodman Plaza is a newly constructed 170-unit high rise apartment complex. All units are reserved for elderly, handicapped, and disabled residents. To qualify residents must be age 62 or older or receiving Social Security Disability Benefits. The complex offers efficiency, one-, and two-bedroom apartments. Utilities are included in the rent. All apartments are equipped with emergency pull cords. 24-hour security is provided to ensure the safety of residents and coordinate any after-hours emergency care. A community center, laundromat, gazebo, and outdoor grills are located on the property.

U.S. Goodman Plaza Community Center hosts a variety of activities for its tenants. Birthday parties, ice cream socials, and holiday celebrations are just a few of the activities enjoyed by tenants. Church services are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Every Friday transportation and assistance to and from local supermarkets is provided by area churches. The community center is equipped with exercise equipment, computers, a pool table, big screen television and VCR.

Applications are taken at U.S. Goodman Plaza from 8:00 AM until 3:30 PM Monday through Friday. There is usually a 6- to 8-month waiting period for an apartment to become available.
